It’s like a hug in a glass, perfect for a cozy morning or a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up. Trust me, once you try this unique blend, you’ll be hooked!

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, cored and chopped (peeled if preferred, but skin adds fiber!)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder for an extra boost

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Pears and Ginger: Core and chop your pears. If you’re using organic pears, leaving the skin on is great for extra fiber, but feel free to peel if you prefer a smoother texture. Peel and roughly chop the fresh ginger.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add the chopped pears, chopped ginger, almond milk, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, maple syrup (if using), and ice cubes into a high-speed blender. If you’re adding protein powder, toss it in now too.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, add a splash more almond milk. If you prefer it colder or thicker, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Give your smoothie a taste. If you like it sweeter, add a little more maple syrup or honey. If you want more spice, a tiny pinch more cinnamon or nutmeg can do the trick.
  5. Serve Immediately: Pour your beautifully spiced pear and ginger smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a thin pear slice if desired!
