Hey there, fellow food lovers! 👋 Are you ready to fall in love with your oven all over again? Because today, we’re making magic happen with one of the most irresistible sheet pan meals I’ve ever created: Sticky Sesame Chicken & Broccoli! This isn’t just dinner; it’s a flavor explosion that comes together with minimal effort and even less cleanup. We’re talking juicy, tender chicken and perfectly roasted, slightly crisp broccoli, all coated in a gorgeous, glossy, sweet, and savory sesame sauce. It’s got that takeout vibe you crave, but it’s made right in your kitchen, fresh and fabulous. Trust me, once you try this, it’ll be on your weekly rotation faster than you can say ‘more sesame seeds, please!’ Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces and broccoli florets. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Spread the chicken and broccoli in a single layer on the prepared sheet pan.
  4. Roast for 15 minutes.
  5. While the chicken and broccoli are roasting, prepare the sticky sesame sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. In a separate tiny bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the sauce mixture and whisk until smooth.
  6. After 15 minutes, remove the sheet pan from the oven. Carefully pour the sesame sauce over the chicken and broccoli. Toss gently right on the pan to coat everything evenly.
  7. Return the sheet pan to the oven and roast for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C) and the sauce has thickened and become gloriously sticky.
  8. Remove from the oven, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions (if using). Serve immediately with rice or quinoa for a complete meal. Enjoy your incredibly delicious, fuss-free dinner!
